About us:
Young people between the age of 14 and 20 get together
at the Youth House and take part in various clubs according to their
interests: Music , Art-studios, Ecology, Debate clubs, Brake clubs,
a school for young pop and rock performers, a folklore group “Thracian
Youth”. We organize meetings with celebrities, pop, rock, rap and
techno discos and shows. We also organize trainings “Effective Communication”,
SOS-friends and on sexual and reproductive health and others.
We are interested in the themes: “Violence, racism,
xenophobia”, ”Ecology, environment and biological variety”, drugs,
social isolation, AIDS and sexual and reproductive health and others.
There is a Youth Parliament that works with the
Youth House and various committees refer to it : on culture, sport
and free time activities, social work, economy. The Parliament mediates
between the local authorities and young people when solving their
problems.
Young House is a non-profit, non-government youth
organization. Young House aims to build self-esteem, promotes healthy
lifestyles, develop character, teach leadership skills, and emphasize
social responsibility. Young House was registered in 1965 and it
is located in town of Sliven, Bulgaria.
